Orange Egypt Delivers a Grand Prize of Half a Million Pounds to the Winner of its Minute Win It Competition

In a big ceremony, Orange Egypt recently celebrated the winners of its exclusive competition  Minute Win It . The competition lasted more than three months under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

The turnover for the competition was unprecedented, with more than 8.4 million subscribers, in a first of its kind value-added service competition in Egypt.

The competition started daily from 10 am to 10 pm. Each participant sent a message at the first minute he wished to compete. The participant with the first message reaching the company was the winner of the minute prize (prepaid card ranging from between EGP 5 and EGP 500).

At the end of the competition, Orange Egypt announced the winner of the grand prize of half a million pounds, Salah Mohammed Hassan from Qena Governorate. The Prize was delivered in the presence of Eng. Ashraf Halim, Orange Egypt’s Deputy CEO, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA),

I participated in the competition and did not expect there was a real prize in this way, but after being contacted and I and my family were invited to attend the ceremony organized by Orange to receive the award, I realized that the competition is real and had great credibility,  Salah Mohamed said when asked how he felt after winning the grand prize.  The award came at the right time as this money will help me in my marriage and to start my own project. I would like to thank Orange Egypt for the hospitality I have witnessed from all of its officials,  he added.

Eng. Ashraf Halim, Orange Egypt’s Deputy CEO, said on this occasion,  The participation of 8.5 million subscribers from Orange confirms the confidence they have in the company and its credibility in providing offers and competitions suited to meet all needs. The success of this project came after good preparation, careful and sufficient study before the start of the competition. All company departments worked relentlessly to ensure the success of this project and a distinguished customer experience.

Shaimaa Abdel Aziz, CEO of Digital Vision, said,  This huge promotion is designed to meet the needs of customers not only for the sake of entertainment but to create real value that meets the requirements of customers considering the daily subscription price in the competition, which is the lowest in the Egyptian market.

The participation of millions of Orange customers in this competition, which is one of the largest and most successful offers, not only in Egypt but in the region is why the management of Orange Egypt extended the offer for another 30 days, where the figures show that success is not only through daily revenues but also from the large number of participants with the lowest number of complaints and inquiries.
