Benya Capital launches the first multi-cloud concept for businesses and enterprises in Egypt and signs partnership agreement with the Federation of Egyptian Industries

The launch event was attended by H.E. Hisham

Khaled Ibrahim Chairman of the Chamber of Information
Technology and Communication (CIT), and Mohamed El-
Etreby Chairman of Banque Misr. In addition to
representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and industry leaders.
Benya Raqmeya is held partnership with Banque Misr, SAP, Microsoft, Honeywell, ATOS, DELL, and CISCO to provide financial and technology support. In addition to partnerships with Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, AoI, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the American University in Cairo, for strategic and capacity building.
During the event, Benya Capital Chairman and CEO Ahmed Mekky signed a partnership agreement with Eng. Mohamed El Sweedy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries to support the digital transformation of the industrial sector. The later is set to contribute to the advancement and empowerment of this vital sector which represents an important pillar for the country’s socio-economic growth.
“Benya Raqmeya” is full-fledged “One-Stop-Shop” marketplace that provides small and medium enterprises with all business requirements. The initiative represents the next generation and evolutionary development of cloud enabled solutions, which contributes to the country’s vision of enabling the development of a strong digital economy relying on equitable and affordable access to knowledge.

The Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Mr. Hisham Tawfik, affirmed on the importance of establishing an e-market to support public and private sectors. This would allow enterprises to plan and manage resources effectively while meeting an existing gap in the market.
The Minister also pointed out that the platform represents another milestone in the ministry’s leading efforts to support digital transformation. Through its holding companies, the ministry is implementing one of the largest digital transformation projects in the Middle East. The program includes 63 companies working in 12 different sectors and with more than 20 national and international partners, and 50 million USD of investments.
The minister also affirmed that the ministry is sharing its digital transformation experience with small and medium enterprises through Mostaqbal Raqami initiative, launched in cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Microsoft and Fiber Misr Systems. This initiative affirms the ministry’s commitment to cooperate with all involved parties to establish a digital ecosystem that serves all sectors.
Eng. Mohamed El Sweedy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries stressed on the importance of signed partnership agreement, by saying: “The Federation of Egyptian Industries is one of the country’s largest employers’ associations. It represents over 60,000 industrial enterprises out of which more than 90% belong to the private sector; and accounting for more than 1.2 million workers. In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and implemented safety lockdowns, “Benya Raqmeya” represents and important platform to support the sector’s digital transformation. Our partnership with Benya Capital affirms our ongoing commitment to support Egyptian industries, an important pillar to achieve the country’sustainable development and alleviate poverty.”
