Ericsson Egypt (NASDAQ:ERIC) has announced that it has reached a significant milestone in its push to hire more Egyptian talents with an overall 25 percent increase in its workforce.
In its drive to closely align with Egypt’s Vision 2030, Ericsson Egypt has focused its hiring on Egyptian talents and expertise, and has hired new local talents into essential business functions such as communication engineering, and computer science to cater to the business growth and to capitalize on the human capital available in Egypt.
Ninety nine per cent of Ericsson Egypt’s workforce comes from the local Egyptian talent pool.
Ericsson Egypt has created clear pathways for the development ،
and employment of Egyptian engineering and technical talent through its Digital Services Hub established in the country, as well as the Ericsson Graduate Development Program, through which 50 per cent of the hired graduates are female.
Ericsson’s Digital Services Hub in Egypt offers a full range of digital services to enhance how service providers engage with customers by automating operations to reach new levels of programmability, access and agility.
Furthermore, the Ericsson Graduate Development Program, offers talented young Egyptians with full-immersion work placement opportunities.
The program offers graduates a chance to join experienced Ericsson staff for on-the-job, online and classroom learning. The components of the program enable graduates to gain professional project-based knowledge, in a fast-changing ICT sector.
Every participant in Ericsson Egypt’s Graduate Program benefits from individual training and mentoring throughout the program and participants have a chance to work with cutting-edge technologies, including 5G, Internet of Things, Cloud Technology, Data Centre, Television, and Media and Applications.

The hub emphasizes Ericsson’s commitment towards the local Egyptian market and aims to develop local talent in advanced technology areas of Artificial Intelligence and software.
It employs data scientists, engineers, AI/machine learning (ML) architects, and software developers, with potential for additional positions in the future.
