Goals and Scope of the “Your Safety Matters” Initiative
The campaign aims to:
Promote a strong culture of occupational safety and health among delivery riders.
Distribute essential protective gear, including helmets, reflective vests, gloves, and first aid kits.
Enforce safety compliance and safe driving practices through dedicated oversight and mechanisms.
Develop a comprehensive database of riders, enabling integration into the social protection system, including social and health insurance and workplace injury protection.
These measures support risk reduction, ensure safer daily operations, and strengthen professional and social stability for riders in Egypt’s growing e-commerce ecosystem.

This approach aims to improve compliance with safe practices, reduce risks, and create a safer, more productive working environment.
To date, approximately 6,000 helmets have been distributed, with ongoing monitoring to ensure usage and adherence to safety standards. Plans are underway to expand the program further to enhance sustainability and workplace safety for all riders.
Comprehensive Training and Awareness Programs
Beyond distributing equipment, the initiative includes:
Training programs to promote safe driving practices.

Recognizing and rewarding riders who consistently follow safety standards.
These activities reinforce a culture of preventive awareness, ensuring a safer and more reliable work environment for delivery riders and logistics partners alike.
A Model for Public-Private Collaboration
The Ministry of Labor affirmed that the campaign represents a successful model of public-private sector collaboration, demonstrating how government and private companies can jointly foster safe and sustainable workplaces. The Ministry plans to expand and replicate this model across other companies in the delivery and e-commerce sector, enhancing occupational safety culture and providing job security for thousands of young workers in this vital industry.
