TikTok Reinforces Its Commitment to Digital Well-being by Launching a Safety Ambassadors Program in MENA
: As part of its commitment towards providing a positive in-
app environment for its users in the MENA region, TikTok,
the world’s leading short video platform, launched its
Safety Ambassadors Program. This comes in collaboration
with a number of celebrities and prominent content
creators including Entrepreneur and CEO of Dash
Management, Dina Dash, TV reporter and Radio presenter
Hossam Reda and TV Chef and Food Critic, Amr Helmy.
The Safety Ambassadors’ Program is part of TikTok’s
ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and comfort of its
millions of users within the community by empowering
them with the right tools and resources. It also aims to
spread awareness of responsible internet usage and being
safe on “TikTok” specifically. The program also entails
educating users about the Community Guidelines and
Terms of Service, which outline the code of conduct for the
users. Additionally, the ambassadors’ program sheds light
on the app’s practices to ensure the digital well-being of
the users through monitoring their usage and managing it
through the application has advanced Screen Time
Management option.
