vivo implements several hygiene measures to protect customers and employees, using innovation technology to help the world stay connected
– As a global company and a member of the technology industry, vivo has implemented a
series of measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the communities in which we
operate. During this challenging period, technologies like the smart phone are more
important than ever to help people stay connected with their loved ones, particularly in
communities that have enforced quarantine or social distancing measures.
Protecting our customers and employees
vivo stores across the world and vivo service centers along with authorized retailers in
Egypt remained open to support our customers, while we have put in place several
measures to maintain hygiene. To minimize the risk of infection, our employees are fully
supplied with sanitary products and we have increased sanitization frequency of our stores.
Customersare also encouraged to wear mask when visiting our stores with free masks
offered to customers in need.
As for our front line staff, vivo has instructed them to keep a safe distance during product
demonstrations, and sanitize all smartphone units regularly, as well as to retain good personal hygiene.
Safety measures for internal staff
vivo Egypt has initiates internal policies to ensure our Egyptian staff remain safe and
healthy, such as strict self-quarantine measurements, daily temperature measurement, and
real-time COVID-19 situation internal updates.
After the COVID-19 outbreak, continues to grow in Egypt and middle east, vivo activated its internal emergency response team, which has been providing advice and regular updates to our employees. This includes recommendations on how employees can protect themselves and flexible work arrangements (working from home policy applied), as well as aiding affected employees.Vivo Egypt has suspended all on-ground activities and has advised all employees to work from home as well as utilize conference calls instead of office meetings, in compliance with the measures being employed to reduce the spread of the virus by local authorities. The company has also ensured the availability of protective masks and hand sanitizers to its all staff.
Supporting local communities
The fight against COVID-19 does not limit to safety measures. As a responsible global company, vivo also leverages our technology to assist communities during this challenging time. In China, for example, we have launched a pneumonia epidemic alert feature on our smart phones, which keeps our users updated and educated about the current epidemic situation to stay safe and protect their loved ones.
