The 34th edition of the COMEX 2025 Global Technology Exhibition opens tomorrow, Monday, and will run from September 8 to 11 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs.
Organized by Al Dar Al Arabia for Data Analysis in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman, COMEX continues to serve as a premier platform connecting cutting-edge digital innovations with leading regional and international technology stakeholders.
Egyptian Participation Highlights Regional Leadership
This year’s edition showcases a strong Egyptian delegation of technology and digital transformation companies, presenting innovations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and fintech, along with industrial and commercial solutions tailored for regional expansion.
The participation underlines Cairo’s growing stature as a regional hub for technology and innovation in the Middle East and Africa. Egyptian firms are leveraging the event to forge new strategic partnerships with Gulf and global counterparts, while also attracting investments that will bolster their presence in Oman and beyond.
Digital Transformation Momentum in Oman
COMEX 2025 takes place against the backdrop of Oman’s accelerating digital transformation journey. The country’s digital transformation market reached USD 2.72 billion in 2025, with forecasts projecting growth to USD 4.65 billion by 2030, reflecting a CAGR of 11.36%.
The national “Tahwul” program reported that by May 2025, overall digital transformation performance across government entities surged by 80% compared to the previous year. Over 11.4 million digital transactions were completed across 48 government agencies, with 96% of targeted services streamlined and 74% fully digitized.
A Hub for Innovation, Startups, and Partnerships
COMEX 2025 will feature dedicated pavilions on e-government, startups, fintech, and e-sports, alongside key side events including the COMEX Summit, panel discussions, innovation challenges, and awards ceremonies recognizing outstanding technology projects.
According to Mohamed Sami, General Manager of Al Dar Al Arabia, the event is a vital gateway for showcasing innovative digital solutions and creating major investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and innovators. He emphasized that Egyptian startups and SMEs in particular will benefit from access to partnership opportunities, investor networks, and future collaborations.

Sami also highlighted that Egypt’s participation at COMEX reflects the rapid evolution of the Egyptian technology sector, placing it firmly at the heart of the global digital landscape. He noted that Egypt’s role extends beyond national growth, contributing to Arab technological integration and strengthening the region’s position on the global digital economy map.
