Under the theme “Your Gateway to Tomorrow’s Industry,” Huawei, the global leader in ICT solutions, successfully held the 6th edition of its flagship employment forum — Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo (HiRE) — under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Labor.
The event serves as a vital platform connecting Huawei-certified youth, including graduates of Huawei ICT Academies and the Huawei–NTI Egypt Talent Academy (ETA), with top employers across various sectors. Through this initiative, Huawei continues to bridge the gap between education and employment, fostering a skilled generation equipped for future technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Big Data, and DataCom.

Bridging Youth with Egypt’s Digital Future
This year’s HiRE6 forum opened new career pathways for young people from diverse academic backgrounds who have completed Huawei’s international certification programs. By working closely with universities and institutions, Huawei offers foundational and advanced training in key technology disciplines — empowering aspiring talents to acquire high-demand digital skills essential for the modern workforce.

Government Endorsement: Building a Knowledge-Based Economy
His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, praised the HiRE forum as a model of public-private partnership in advancing Egypt’s youth empowerment strategy.
He emphasized that under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt prioritizes investment in human capital, considering young people the cornerstone of sustainable development and drivers of Vision 2030.
Minister Gibran highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to reskill youth and enhance technological competencies through collaborations with key partners like Huawei. These initiatives aim to create high-quality jobs in strategic areas such as AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.
He further noted that HiRE 6 comes at a critical time of rapid global digital transformation, reinforcing the need to prepare Egyptian talents with future-ready skills. The Minister also lauded Huawei’s initiatives for empowering people of determination through inclusive training programs and accredited certifications — a step that supports Egypt’s broader vision for inclusive digital growth.

NTI and Huawei: A Two-Decade Strategic Partnership
Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecom Institute (NTI), described Huawei’s collaboration with NTI as a long-term strategic vision focused on human capital development.
He said, “Our partnership with Huawei extends beyond training — it’s about creating an ecosystem of innovation and global competitiveness. Together, we are nurturing a new generation of digital professionals aligned with Egypt’s development priorities and the Ministry of ICT’s vision for digital transformation.”
Dr. Khattab noted that the NTI–Huawei partnership, spanning over 20 years, has become a benchmark for successful public-private cooperation. Combining NTI’s academic expertise with Huawei’s technological leadership, the partnership builds a comprehensive training ecosystem aligned with evolving market needs and future digital trends.
He added that this collaboration led to the establishment of the Huawei ICT Talent Bank (ITB) in 2019, training over 1,700 instructors who have since qualified around 60,000 students across 160 Huawei ICT Academies nationwide.
In 2024, the launch of the Egypt Talent Academy (ETA) further expanded these efforts, aiming to train 15,000 youth over five years in advanced technologies. In the same year, the Fiber Optic Technologies Academy was launched to train 3,000 engineers and technicians supporting national infrastructure projects, including the “Decent Life” initiative.

Huawei: Investing in Youth to Power Egypt’s Vision 2030
Mr. Dou Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei Egypt, affirmed Huawei’s commitment to empowering Egyptian youth and supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030.
He said, “At Huawei, we believe that investing in youth is investing in Egypt’s future. Through HiRE6, we connect skilled talents with leading employers, helping them access real job opportunities while strengthening Egypt’s digital economy.”

A Hybrid Model for Broader Job Access
Eng. Asmaa Serag, Executive Director of Huawei ICT Academies Egypt, explained that HiRE plays a central role in Huawei’s talent development strategy, aiming to make Egypt a regional technology talent hub.
She noted that this year’s edition adopted a hybrid model, combining physical participation and an online job-matching platform active for a full month, allowing companies to reach a wider pool of applicants.
Over 100 leading companies participated in HiRE 6, including Telecom Egypt, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, METRA, TELE Tech, and Ecotel, representing diverse industries beyond ICT.

Recognizing Excellence and Promoting Inclusion
During the event, seven companies were honored for their outstanding contributions to youth employment and skill development. Additionally, NTI instructors received recognition for their exceptional role in training and mentoring young talents through the Egypt Talent Academy.
A special panel titled “Women in Tech” was also held on the sidelines, showcasing the contributions of women in technology. Panelists included Dr. Eman Serag El-Din, Dr. Lamia El-Fadaly, and Eng. Nadine Abdallah, who shared inspiring perspectives on advancing female participation and leadership in Egypt’s ICT ecosystem.
