The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has
announced the conclusion of the 12th edition of its annual employment fair, held
virtually on the 10th of October, offering various job opportunities in the field of information technology.
ITIDA CEO Engineer Ahmed ElZaher, inaugurated the employment fair, which
aims to connect qualified students and university graduates with the IT sector
employers and the available job opportunities in ICT specializations, as well as raise employment awareness among
Egyptian youth and facilitate their access to the IT job market in Egypt.
The number of participating IT companies reached 49, including 34 multinational companies
and 15 local companies, offering more than 1100 job opportunities in various fields of IT, offshoring IT services.
According to the employment fair statistics released by ITIDA, data-related jobs including data analysis,
data engineering, data science, and big data, came as the most-in-demand job
opportunities with 200 jobs offered by the participating IT companies.
Mobile application development, and various programming languages jobs
(Android, IOS, Full stack, JAVA, PHP, backend, Frontend) came second with 180
available jobs. Jobs related to testing, development and software engineering
came third with 150 available job opportunities.
ITIDA’s employment fair incorporated 73% of job opportunities for junior-level employees, while
27% of the offered job opportunities were offered for senior levels. More than 4000 job seekers
in the IT sector registered at the employment fair, while the number of job applications
submitted by them reached 15,231.
ITIDA’s Employment Fair provides a comprehensive open ecosystem that offers work and
professional development prospects to enable applicants to interact with
organizations about available job opportunities.
