Once again realme – the world’s fastest-growing brand in the field of smartphone technology and artificial intelligence products – is achieving new success in their latest smartphone products. Hisham

Moharram, Marketing Manager and Official Spokesperson for realme Egypt, announced that the

company has achieved a new breaking record in the realme C25 flash sale, as 1,500 units were sold in

just 13 minutes on all e-commerce platforms, while the total pre-order requests of realme 8 & realme 8

Pro reached a total of 15,300 devices, including 10 thousand units of realme 8 and 5,300 units of

realme 8 pro.
Moharram highlighted that the new products have succeeded in gaining the confidence of large

segments of consumers, especially in the youth category, due to their high-quality specifications in

terms of components and superior operational capabilities supported by the latest artificial intelligence

technologies. He pointed out that the realme 8 series marks a new phase of success achieved by the

numbered series smartphones. realme established a fan base of 70 million users of the company’s

products, 40 million of which are realme smartphone users.

Moharram clarified that the high capabilities of the realme 8 & realme 8 Pro phones were the decisive

factors in achieving the high numbers of sales. The realme 8 Pro, nicknamed the Combo Flagship,

comes with a 108-megapixel ultra-clear quad camera, in addition to its ability to record video from the

front and rear cameras at the same time, a 6.4 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 720G

processor, a gigantic 4500 mAh battery, and a 50W SuperDart fast charger. All these is featured in a

slim 8.1m design and 176g lighter.

While the realme 8 phone is considered to be the best smartphone in the mid-range price category. This

smartphone features the MediaTek Helio G95 game processor, a 64-megapixel ultra-clear quad camera,

a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, a giant 5000 mAh battery, and a 30W flash charger in a more modern

and slim design of 8m thickness and a weight of just 177g.

Moharram pointed out that the number of C-series users in Egypt alone amounts to around 1 million

users, due to its economic price and its great capabilities in the field of gaming on smartphones. Their

superior gaming capabilities granted the series the nickname “The Ultimate Gaming Monster” as it is

capable of running games for the longest period thanks to the Helio G70 game processor and its giant

6000 mAh battery.

$300 million investment in 5G technology research

As part of its continuous efforts in remaining up to date in all forms of development in communications

technology around the world, realme recently co-hosted a global conference on the future of 5G

technology and its impact in the field of technology and communications. The conference was organized

by the International Association of Mobile Networks and representatives of the largest communications

and technology companies from around the world were present:

During the conference, Madhav Sheth, realme Vice President and CEO of India and Europe, revealed

that the company will invest $300 million in 5G technology research to provide it globally. 90% of

realme’s research and development resources have been transferred to 5G technology and products.

Madhav Sheth continued to explain that the transition from 4G technology to 5G technology means

providing phones with 4 times the number of antennas, thus increasing the total number of components

by 25-40%, as well as increasing high-performance components inside the phone to reduce the amount

of heat generated.

He also revealed that during 2020, realme launched about 14 smartphones that support 5G technologies

in 22 markets around the world. These smartphones represent about 40% of all the product models

produced by the company. realme plans to increase the number of these products to 20 by 2022, which

will represent 70% of all the company’s product models in 50 different markets.

While Johnny Chen, Brand Manager of realme international, said that the company provides devices

with global technologies that support fifth-generation services. This enables young people to connect

through 5G applications supported by artificial intelligence technology such as interactive live

broadcasts, cloud gaming, AR, VR, XR, etc. He explained that realme will create a 5G communications

platform tailored to the youth, and their opinions and expectations about 5G technology and imagining

the applications of this technology will be heard from various universities around the world. These

comments and suggestions will also be incorporated into the development of realme’s 5G-enabled products.
