Coca-Cola Digital Hub Launches in Egypt

In a strategic move that reinforces Egypt’s growing role in the global digital economy, the Coca-Cola Egypt Digital Hub has been officially inaugurated in Cairo. The launch marks a significant step forward in expanding export-oriented digital services and high-value outsourcing operations across international markets.

High-Level Government and Corporate

The inauguration took place on behalf of H.E. Eng. Raafat Hindy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, with Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), representing the ministry. The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Mr. Zoran Bogdanovic, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC, alongside senior executives and government officials.

A Strategic Hub Serving 27 International Markets

The Coca-Cola Egypt Digital Hub operates as a global delivery center supporting the company’s operations across 27 markets in Europe and Africa. This initiative reflects increasing global confidence in Egypt as a competitive destination for digital exports and advanced outsourcing services.

Advanced Capabilities Driving Innovation

The hub integrates a wide range of advanced digital services, including artificial intelligence (AI), software engineering and development, quality assurance and testing, user experience (UI/UX) design, and agile delivery. It serves as a scalable platform for building and managing business-critical digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and innovation across Coca-Cola HBC’s global operations.

Workforce Expansion and Economic Impact

Currently employing around 250 highly skilled professionals, the Coca-Cola Egypt hub is set to expand its workforce to 450 by 2027. The center is projected to generate approximately $34 million annually in digital export revenues, contributing significantly to Egypt’s economy and strengthening its outsourcing sector.

Strategic Partnership Since 2024

Eng. Ahmed Elzaher emphasized that the hub’s launch represents a milestone in the ongoing collaboration between Egypt and global enterprises. The partnership with Coca-Cola HBC began in 2024, with ITIDA playing a crucial role in promoting Egypt’s competitive advantages and supporting the company’s investment decision.

This collaboration was further reinforced through a Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Global Offshoring Summit, aimed at accelerating expansion, boosting digital export capabilities, and developing specialized talent.

Empowering Talent for the AI Era

Elzaher highlighted that the partnership goes beyond job creation, focusing on building a future-ready workforce equipped with advanced digital skills. Through training programs and knowledge transfer, the initiative supports Egypt’s ambition to lead in AI-driven digital services.

Egypt’s Digital Strategy Fuels Growth

Egypt’s offshoring sector continues to grow rapidly under the national digital economy strategy launched in 2022. In 2025 alone, agreements were signed with 55 global and local companies to create over 75,000 jobs within three years, with Coca-Cola HBC among the key partners driving this expansion.

A Model for Public-Private Collaboration

The Coca-Cola Egypt Digital Hub stands as a successful example of public-private partnership, showcasing Egypt’s ability to attract knowledge-based investments and position itself as a leading regional and global hub for digital service delivery and exports.
