In a major step toward accelerating Egypt’s energy transition, Huawei and AIS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the local manufacturing of Grid-Forming Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This strategic agreement underscores a shared commitment to strengthening Egypt’s renewable energy infrastructure while advancing the localization of advanced energy technologies.
The partnership reflects Egypt’s broader ambition to enhance its industrial base and develop sustainable energy solutions capable of meeting rising demand while reducing reliance on imported technologies.
