Huawei Advances Smart Energy in Egypt with Next-Generation Digital Power Solutions

Huawei is strengthening its support for Egypt’s transition toward a smarter and more sustainable energy future through its participation as a major exhibitor at Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2026, held on August 11–12.

At the event, Huawei showcased its latest Smart Energy Solutions, intelligent solar technologies and digital power innovations, highlighting the role of technology in accelerating clean energy adoption and addressing the evolving energy requirements of customers across Egypt.

FusionSolar Brings Intelligent Solar Power to the Forefront

Huawei placed its FusionSolar portfolio at the center of this year’s showcase, reflecting the company’s continued focus on applying digital technologies to expand renewable energy adoption while making energy generation and management more efficient.

FusionSolar provides intelligent solar solutions designed for a broad range of applications, covering residential and commercial installations as well as industrial and utility-scale projects.

By combining digital intelligence with power electronics, Huawei is seeking to provide customers and partners with greater visibility and control over their energy systems, helping them integrate renewable sources more efficiently and optimize how energy is generated, stored and consumed.

506 Inverter Targets Large-Scale Solar Projects

One of the key technologies showcased by Huawei was the 506 Inverter, the company’s largest string inverter to date.

The solution converts electricity generated by solar panels into usable power for large-scale solar projects, while providing capabilities that help operators monitor and manage their systems more efficiently.

The technology is designed to address the growing requirements of utility-scale solar installations as renewable energy becomes an increasingly important component of power infrastructure.

Luterra Combines Hybrid Inversion and Battery Storage

Huawei also presented Luterra, an advanced all-in-one hybrid inverter and battery energy storage solution designed to store renewable energy and help balance electricity supply and demand.

The system supports more efficient use of stored renewable energy while contributing to greater stability in household electricity supplies, providing an integrated approach to solar generation, energy conversion and storage.

Utility-Scale BESS Supports Renewable Energy Integration

Another major highlight was Huawei’s Utility Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipped with an internal Power Conversion System (PCS).

The solution is designed to help large-scale power systems integrate renewable energy more effectively while supporting grid stability and reliable energy management.

As renewable generation becomes more integrated into electricity networks, energy storage technologies such as BESS can play an increasingly important role in managing energy availability and supporting the reliability of power systems.

Huawei Unveils FusionCharge Supercharger in Egypt

Huawei also showcased its latest centralized liquid-cooled DC charging technology, the FusionCharge Supercharger, which the company recognizes as the fastest electric vehicle charger currently available in Egypt.

The introduction expands Huawei’s digital power portfolio beyond solar generation and storage, addressing the growing infrastructure requirements associated with electric mobility and the wider transition toward cleaner energy.

241 kWh Liquid-Cooled BESS Targets C&I Market

For the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector, Huawei introduced its latest liquid-cooled Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 241 kWh.

The system is designed to support microgrid, on-grid and off-grid applications, providing businesses and industrial facilities with a flexible energy storage solution.

Huawei positions the technology to support the next phase of growth in the C&I energy storage market, particularly as businesses increasingly seek greater control over energy consumption, storage and resilience.

Digital Intelligence and Power Electronics Working Together

Huawei’s portfolio demonstrates its approach to making renewable energy systems more intelligent, connected and easier to manage.

Through the integration of digital technologies and power electronics, Huawei provides customers and partners with improved visibility into energy system performance and greater control over their operations.

These capabilities can help businesses and energy operators integrate renewable sources more efficiently while improving the management and utilization of the energy they generate and store.

Renewable Energy Gains Momentum Across Egypt

Huawei’s participation comes as Egypt continues to expand the role of renewable energy across its economy and pursue a lower-carbon energy landscape.

As businesses and industrial organizations increasingly explore clean energy technologies, digital solutions are becoming increasingly important for improving energy management, enhancing system visibility and integrating renewable generation into existing power infrastructure.

This shift is particularly significant for Egypt’s industrial sector, where national initiatives are encouraging wider adoption of solar power.

Smart Energy Solutions

Shams El-Sinaa Initiative Supports Industrial Solar Adoption

Among these efforts is the Shams El-Sinaa (Sun of the Industry) initiative, which aims to install rooftop solar systems across approximately 7,000 factories, with a targeted total capacity of 1,000 MW of clean energy.

The initiative reflects the growing focus on using renewable energy to support industrial operations while improving energy efficiency and advancing Egypt’s broader sustainability ambitions.

Huawei Reaffirms Its Long-Term Commitment to Egypt

Commenting on Huawei’s participation, Tony Bu Leiming, CEO of Huawei Digital Power Business Egypt, said that during the company’s 26 years in Egypt, Huawei has remained a trusted partner in the country’s development journey, guided by its “In Egypt, For Egypt” strategy.

He emphasized the company’s belief that technology can serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth, adding that Huawei’s participation in Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2026 reflects its continued commitment to demonstrating how intelligent digital power and solar solutions can accelerate renewable energy adoption in Egypt.

According to Bu Leiming, these technologies can also help businesses and industries build operations that are more efficient, resilient and sustainable.

Huawei Supports Egypt’s Digital and Green Energy Transition

Huawei’s participation in Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2026 underscores the company’s broader commitment to advancing digital and green technologies in Egypt and supporting the country’s renewable energy ambitions.

Through Huawei Digital Power, the company continues to combine digital intelligence with power electronics to develop smarter energy systems, facilitate renewable energy integration and accelerate the digital transformation of the energy sector.

With solutions spanning solar generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging and intelligent energy management, Huawei is positioning its technology portfolio to support Egypt’s evolving energy landscape and its transition toward a more sustainable future.
