In a strategic move to strengthen its regional leadership, IBM has appointed Tamer El Kholy as General Manager for North East Africa. He succeeds Marwa Abbas, who successfully led the company’s operations across Egypt and the region, driving significant growth and expansion.

In his new role, Tamer El Kholy IBM will lead IBM’s strategy and operations across North East Africa, focusing on accelerating growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with clients and business partners.
He will also work closely with organizations to advance the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and hybrid cloud technologies, enabling businesses to unlock the full value of their data and accelerate their digital transformation initiatives.
Over 28 Years of Technology Leadership
Tamer El Kholy brings more than 28 years of experience in the technology industry, having held senior leadership positions at IBM, Microsoft, and Dell EMC.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with organizations across the region to drive technology adoption, enable innovation at scale, and support large-scale business transformation.
