Microsoft teams up with Cairo ICT to live stream virtual events

Cairo ICT and Microsoft have partnered together to live stream virtual events taking place at Egypt’s largest technology trade

and networking event, scheduled to run from 22 to 25 November.
Built on the theme of ‘The Big Reset’ this year’s Cairo ICT will feature an array of talks from prominent speakers

to shed light on how the pandemic has accelerated digital transformation across all industries,

urging governments and organizations to adapt to the new reality.
Powered by Microsoft Teams – a unified communications platform, the events will be hosted virtually for attendees

from Egypt and across the world to join sessions and engage with global speakers online.

The sessions will also be broadcasted live on the Cairo ICT website, enabled through Microsoft’s Cloud platform.

Osama Kamal, Managing Director for Cairo ICT

I’m happy to see our longtime partner Microsoft partnering up with us again at our 24th annual Cairo ICT this year.

We’re proudly using Microsoft Teams as the official conferencing tool for our sessions taking place on Nov 22 – 25. Also,

with the power of Microsoft Azure, all sessions will be streamed on Azure cloud platform in the first hybrid event,

allowing those who are unable to join physically, to log into the ICT portal and enjoy all sessions.
It’s inspiring how technology is breaking barriers and expanding reach for people from across the world to connect,

Mirna Arif, Country Manager, Microsoft Egypt

collaborate, learn and engage in entirely new ways.

Our partnership with Cairo ICT is an effort to mark its presence by putting our innovations to use,

and pave the way forward ushering the country’s transition to a digital society.
Microsoft will also take part in a series of panel discussions held at Cairo ICT.

Mirna Arif will participate in a session titled ‘The Winners of the Pandemic:

Education & Health’ to shed light on how these sectors have responded to

the crisis to maintain continuity by leveraging the power of technology.

Mirna will also discuss the unique value that the intelligent cloud delivers as a catalyst for growth,

in a session called ‘The Role of Cloud on the Road to the Next Normal’.
Microsoft has long been committed to the Egypt Vision 2030, and the country’s digital transformation strategy.

We realize the critical role that technology will play in revitalizing the economy,

and we will continue our efforts to drive innovation, build capabilities through skilling,

while empowering organizations in the country to reimagine their industries, and achieve more Added Arif.
