Hany Fekry: Technical training and job opportunities for qualified students to develop their digital skills and promote electronic payments in Egypt

   The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has signed a memorandum of

understanding (MoU) with Network International to provide technical training to students and fresh

graduates in financial technology (fintech) to encourage the use of electronic payments in Egypt. E-

payment solutions play a key role in boosting economic growth and increasing financial inclusion and is

in line with the country’s efforts to transition to a cashless society

 The MoU was  signed byDr. Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science

Technology and Maritime Transport and Mr. Hany Fekry, Managing Director – Network International

Egypt and Regional President for Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa,  at the company’s  Cairo office.

Academics, students and senior executives also attended the signing ceremony

Under the memorandum, Network International is cooperating with the Arab Academy for Science,

Technology and Maritime Transport in all activities and operations that would develop the technical skills

 

and capabilities of its students and fresh graduates through advanced training courses, innovative teaching methods, and courses throughout the summer months

In addition, the agreement includes  providing job opportunities forqualified students to give them the

chance to join leading technology companies in Egypt to further their skills and experience

This collaboration also plays a key role in the country’s efforts of building a Digital Egypt, transforming it

into a digital society. By supporting the youth’s digital and technical skills, they will be better prepared to take on the jobs of tomorrow and contribute to the digital economy

Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdul-Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and

Maritime Transport, stated: “The  Arab Academy of Science and Technology is among the  leading

academic institutions in the fields of business and computer science.  It is also recognized for its

expertise in the fields of science, engineering and technology not only in Egypt, but in the Arab region

Our educational goal isto prepare  students and link their learning experience to the real world, while

continuously enhancing our programs  in education, training, scientific research and consultancy.”

“The signing of the memorandum of understanding today comes as a commitment from the Arab

Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport to fulfill its mission to provide quality

education according to the highest international standards to ensure growth in the  various programs

and specializations offered by  the Academy, ” Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdul-Ghaffar added.

through  its  unique academic opportunitiesinlight of its mission  to  prepare qualified youth with

strongcapabilities and competencies  locally and internationally.Commenting on this, Mr. Hany Fekry, Managing Director – Network International Egypt and
